From access to public benefits to connections to local food banks, 211 is a lifeline—and we’re here to make sure it stays strong and accessible for every Texan in need. 💪Our message is clear: 211 matters, & we’re fighting for adequate funding so that every person in Texas can get the help they need, when they need it most. 💙 We urge the Texas Legislature to ensure 211 Texas can continue connecting Texans to essential benefits & services—24/7, 365 days a year–by funding 211 Texas Information & Referral Network (TIRN). 🚨 Our ask is simple:
✔️ Increase funding by $12-15 million to support call center operations & meet growing demand.
✔️ Invest $12 million in 211 modernization to implement texting, closed-loop referrals, and integration of the resource database with other agencies & systems.

👏 📣 We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a $50,000 grant from Texas Mutual Insurance Company as part of their $4.5 million funding initiative to support workforce development and safety training across Texas! This generous grant will enable us to strengthen our efforts in workforce development, helping individuals in our community gain the skills and training needed for in-demand, middle-skill jobs while emphasizing safe workplace practices. Together, we are building pathways for success and creating lasting opportunities for working families in North Texas.
