PROSTATE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP: ZERO Us Too Rochester provides peer support and patient education for men and caregivers affected by prostate cancer.

Meetings held the 2nd Thursday of the month, 4-6 pm @ Spiegel Ctr, 35 Lincoln Ave, Pittsford. US TOO ROCHESTER, NY is the regional chapter of Us Too International ~ a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by survivors, for survivors. We believe no man should have to experience prostate cancer alone nor rely on any single source for unbiased medical information. Our patient education programs ar

e facilitated by medical providers across WNY and beyond. Resulting discussions enable men to make informed decisions about prostate health no matter where they receive care or treatment. All meetings are FREE, open to the public, and do not require a diagnosis to attend.

Next month Lizz Ortolani, Ortolani Services will speak to the group on medical insurance projected for 2027. The group always enjoys her presentations and several use her free services to plan for next year

Men delay doctor visits, avoid difficult conversations, and put their well-being last. For men at risk for prostate cancer, that can be life or death — and with 1 in 8 men diagnosed in their lifetime, early detection matters.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗔 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, with African American Veterans facing devastating disparities in both diagnosis and mortality. The POPCaP Authorization Act strengthens the VA’s ability to provide the best available prostate cancer care while advancing precision oncology research.
