The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has stated in the most profound way that its principal purpose is to improve the lives of citizens. The strategic plan for the Ministry of Works and Housing continues to expand. The Works and Housing Ministry has a four major divisions (The Roads Division, The Buildings Division, Design and Control and The Headquarters) with approx 700 people employed and has

been working to ensure that development in Antigua and Barbuda meets international standards. This ministry is accountable, transparent and performance driven. The MWH prides its self with the delivery of excellent service to our stakeholders who are the residents of the twin island state and to this caribbean paradise. THE MANDATE AND PURPOSE:

-Design, construction and maintenance of roads,
-Design, construction and maintenance of government owned buildings,
-Procurement for government offices
-Management of rental and lease agreements
-Maintenance of government owned vehicles
-Project management
-Formulation of housing policy

⚠️𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘: 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗥

The Ministry of Works advises the general public that major infrastructure works will be carried out in the vicinity of Midway Service Station on All Saints Road (ASR).

The following traffic advisory will be in effect from 4:00 pm on Saturday 18th July 2026, until approximately 12:00 am the following day:

Traffic to and from Sea View Farm, Freemans Village and All Saints Village will be subject to diversion as seen on the map provided.

Flag persons will be in place to assist with traffic flow.

Signage along the route will guide commuters travelling in either direction.

Local access will be given to residents in the vicinity of the work site.

Motorists are encouraged to follow all instructions to ensure a cautious and safe passageway, as heavy-duty equipment will be operating near the works.

All businesses remain open.

The roadwork is part of the All Saints Road Project being carried out by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

Stakeholders are asked to adjust their travel plans to allow for delays.

The Ministry of Works advises the general public that major infrastructure works will be carried out in the vicinity of Midway Service Station on All Saints Road (ASR).

Traffic to and from Sea View Farm will be subject to diversion as seen on the map provided.

Traffic to and from All Saints will experience delays due single-lane conditions.

Flag persons will be in place to assist with traffic flow.

Signage along the route will guide commuters travelling in either direction.

Local access will be given to residents in the vicinity of the work site.

The Ministry of Works wishes to advise the general public that a detour has been implemented in the vicinity of Buckley Line Roundabout.

Operators of trucks and other heavy-duty equipment are asked to use Factory Road and Herberts Main Road to regain access to All Saints Road.

There will be limited access to KFC Buckley Line via Buckleys ONLY.

Motorists are asked to plan for delays in traffic flow.
