Just letting everyone know, starting July 1, 2026, the new Sales Tax Rate for the City of Burlingame is 9.0%. It was reduced by .5% from the previous month.

The City of Burlingame is taking applications for the position of Utility Operator and/or Laborer. These positions include the maintenance of the City’s water, wastewater, natural gas and electric systems as well as street and park maintenance. If applying for Utility Operator, applicant must hold a certification in one of the following: water, wastewater, or natural gas. Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL within one year of employment. The City will train the right individual in all of these areas. Experience with equipment such as loaders, dump truck, backhoe a plus. This job does require on-call duties. Burlingame offers employee health insurance, KPERS retirement, paid vacation, personal leave and sick leave. Pay depending on experience. We wanted to let everyone know that the Downhill Derby has been canceled due to a lack of participant interest.

The good news? EVERYTHING ELSE IS STILL ON! 🎉

Join us on Sunday, September 6 at Summer Park as we wrap up summer with an evening of great food, live music, and community fun!

🔨 Fundraising Auction | 7:00–9:00 PM

Our fundraising auction will feature donated items from local businesses and community members, with 100% of the proceeds going toward new planters and trash bins along Santa Fe Avenue to help keep downtown Burlingame looking its best.
