In defense acquisition, speed is a decisive weapon. Under the leadership of Capability Program Executive (CPE) Aviation, the PM AMSA ACMC Product Team—in partnership with DEVCOM AvMC TDD-A—successfully integrated mission-critical Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) and Air-to-Ground Communication (A2GC) technologies into two AH-64E Apaches in less than 12 months.

This rapid technology injection culminated in the successful employment of these upgraded aircraft by the 4th Infantry Division 4-4 Attack Battalion during the "Gambler Guns" test at the recent IVY MASS exercises.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 & 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬:
🔹 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Significantly expanded the battalion’s capability to battle-track and communicate Beyond Line of Sight.
🔹 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Provided flight crews with a real-time tactical picture, enabling lethal fires and real-time airspace deconfliction.
🔹 𝐏𝐂𝐂-𝟔 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Served as a critical operational validation ahead of Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PCC-6).

The momentum continues. CPE Aviation and PdM ACMC are currently installing these NGC2/A2GC capabilities into another five Apaches, with deliveries scheduled to support PCC-6 later this year. We remain dedicated to ensuring our attack aviation platforms are seamlessly and lethally integrated into the division battlespace.

𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥!

During African Lion 26 in Morocco, our forces didn't just train—they executed real-world missions. While hosting the inaugural Drone Academics class for multinational service members, Capability Program Executive, Aviation (CPE AVN) and Project Manager-Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (PM UAS) put advanced tech to the ultimate test.

The PM UAS Medium Range Reconnaissance team deployed the Anduril Ghost X and PDW C100 SUAS platforms for critical ISR. When an unforeseen tragedy occurred, the mission instantly shifted. Demonstrating incredible agility, the team rapidly re-tasked these drones from training directly into real-world Search and Rescue operations.

These proven, multi-mission capabilities were later briefed to senior U.S. and allied defense leadership during Distinguished Visitor Day. This rapid transition from training to saving lives proves that our continuous transformation and interoperability efforts are making a direct impact on the ground. 🌍🤝🇺🇸

🚗 Travel & Road Safety
• TRiPS Assessment: All personnel traveling more than 150 miles are highly encouraged to complete a Travel Risk Planning System (TRiPS) assessment.
• The "Fatal Five": Avoid the leading causes of holiday accidents: speeding, fatigue, distraction (cell phones), lack of seatbelts, and impaired driving.
• Vehicle Inspection: Check your tire pressure and fluid levels. High Alabama temperatures can lead to rapid tire degradation and engine overheating.

🌊 Water & Outdoor Activity (Staying local or heading to the beach)
• Life Jacket Mandate: If you are boating on the Tennessee River or local lakes, ensure there is a Coast Guard-approved flotation device for every passenger. Children should always wear them.
• Hydration: Humidity levels this weekend are expected to be high. Drink at least one quart of water per hour if you are working or playing outdoors.
• Grilling Safety: Ensure grills are at least 10 feet away from structures. Never add lighter fluid to an already lit fire.

🏍️ Motorcycle Operations
• PPE Requirements: All service members and DA civilians riding on or off-post must wear a helmet, eye protection, long sleeves, gloves, and sturdy over-the-ankle boots.
• Training Check: Ensure your Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) card is on your person and your validation is current with the Safety Office (BLDG 4488).

🍺 Responsible Celebration
• Plan Ahead: If your plans include alcohol, designate a driver before celebrations begin.
• The Buddy System: Look out for your coworkers and friends. If you see someone about to make a high-risk decision, intervene.

During Exercise Arcane Thunder 26 at the National Training Center, Multi-Domain Command – Europe (MDC-E) successfully integrated the AEVEX Disruptor unmanned system. This isn't just a new drone; it’s a fundamental shift in how the Army fights.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:
𝐔𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞:Enables reconnaissance and target acquisition at ranges exceeding 1,000 km.
𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧: Increased lethality through rapid, long-range precision.
𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: Direct support of the Department of War’s strategy to unleash autonomous superiority in contested environments.
