If there's one thing U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie is good at, it's putting a friendly face on bad news. This week two Trump cabinet secretaries handed him a photo op at a Lehigh Valley farm so he can tell voters he's fighting for farmers. Here's the reality.

He helped cause this. Trump and the GOP started a war with Iran, and Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz in response. Prices spiked. Full stop.

Blaming Biden is ridiculous. These prices didn't creep up over years — they shot up when this war started.

Their fixes won't fix it. A fertilizer plant opening in 2029. A truck waiver. More domestic drilling — which doesn't matter because oil is a global market.

Mackenzie delivered exactly what he always delivers — a photo op and a fresh coat of spin.
