Recently, I received a very special invitation by the ROCKEFELLER INSTITUTE of GOVERNMENT to participate in a very important panel discussion as Mayor because NEWBURGH is a Leading City in the nation on getting poisonous LEAD out of private homes water service lines for FREE!!

Our team has spent $1.8 million dollars thus far by removing 201 residents private water service lines made of lead. Each home would have cost these families between $9,000 to $10,000…!

In addition, we are on schedule to complete the entire city inventory as required by our National EPA. I was honored last year by being invited to the White House to meet VP Kamala Harris & EPA Executive Director to shape the National Campaign on Getting The LEAD OUT nationwide!

Shout out to Gabrielle Burton Hill who represented The Newburgh Clean Water Project! She was on the panel along with me and other professionals!

I gotta give a huge shout out to to our Water Department employees who have boots in the ground!! I also gotta shout out to my Executive Team for preparing me for this very in-depth scientific presentation!!! Todd Venning, Mike Nepple, Jason Morris, Wayne Vanderburgh, council clerk Maria Valentin@followers@highlight.

We went into several think tanks on this very important work !!

We are making history here on a lot of environmental matters in Newburgh!
