For parents, and anyone else who is looking to do some clothes shopping, I wanted to let you know that Connecticut’s Sales Tax Free Week starts this Sunday August 16 and continues until August 22.

With the cost of getting kids ready for a new school year continuing to add up, every bit of savings helps. During the tax-free week, qualifying clothing and footwear costing under $300 per item will be exempt from the state sales tax.

And this year, backpacks and cleated shoes are included in the expanded exemption.
Take advantage of the savings, support our local businesses, and get a head start on back-to-school shopping!

Sunday, we hosted our God Bless America event at Prospect VFW Post 8075.
Thank you to all that came to continue our nation's 250 Independence Day with us.
Despite the heat we had a great showing.

A big thank you to PRTC members that worked their butts off to make this such a great event.
Thank you to Hometown Pizza for providing some great pizza and to The Big Dipper for providing their delicious ice cream.

Keep an eye out, we may do something similar in the future.

Come out on August 26th to support Christopher Lancia as he works hard to unseat Rosa DeLauro in CT's 3rd Congressional district. I think we can all agree it is time for this change to happen! Even if you can't attend, please consider a donation toward his campaign. 🇺🇲
