Grant applications and awards are still rolling! TechPoint Youth is proud to offer THREE incredible grant opportunities for the 2026-27 school year:

🏫 CLASSROOM STEM GRANTS
Bring robotics directly into your classroom curriculum! These grants are perfect for schools not currently using VEX during the school day. They are available for grades 2-8:
- Elementary (K-2): VEX 123 Classroom Bundle
- Elementary (2-5): VEX GO Classroom Bundle
- Middle School (6-8): VEX IQ Classroom Bundle

🎯 AFTER-SCHOOL ROBOTICS GRANTS
Start a competitive robotics team at your school or nonprofit! No prior robotics experience is required, in fact, 92% of our first-year coaches are beginners! These are available for:
- Elementary (K-5): VEX IQ
- Middle School (6-8): VEX IQ or VEX V5
- High School (9-12): VEX V5
- Non-profits serving grades 1-12

Already have a robotics team? Add an additional team with at least 50% girls, students of color, or economically disadvantaged students. Help us change the landscape of STEM careers by increasing access for underrepresented populations.

This summer marked an exciting milestone for TechPoint Youth as we expanded our Xplore program beyond Central Indiana for the very first time, bringing STEM career exploration to Fort Wayne!

Thanks to the generous support of the Don Wood Foundation, high school students interested in STEM careers spent two weeks in a safe, supportive environment exploring what's possible for their future. Along the way, they connected with industry professionals, learned about college pathways through an admissions presentation at Purdue University Fort Wayne, and experienced firsthand the incredible STEM opportunities available in Northeast Indiana through visits to Sweetwater, Fort Wayne Metals, the Jim Kelley Career Pathway Center, and Electric Works.

This first expansion of Xplore is an important step toward ensuring more Indiana students have access to meaningful STEM career exploration, and it wouldn't have been possible without the Don Wood Foundation's investment in our students and our mission.

Behind every robot is a student discovering what they're capable of.

This year at the VEX Robotics World Championship, we saw confidence grow, teamwork shine, and students from across Indiana compete on the world's biggest robotics stage. None of it happens alone.

We're incredibly grateful to GTIA - Global Technology Industry Association for investing in opportunities that open doors for more students—especially girls and young people who may not have otherwise had access to robotics and STEM learning.

Today marks the end of our Summer Raise Campaign, but it's really the beginning of something much bigger.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Enali Rogers to the TechPoint Youth team as our new Program Specialist!

Enali stood out for her passion for STEM education, innovative approach to youth programming, and commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for every student.

A Butler University physics graduate, Enali brings experience from Indy's Global Village and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, where she designed engaging, hands-on educational programs, built community partnerships, and inspired curiosity through inquiry-based STEM learning.

At TechPoint Youth, Enali will help expand and support our statewide programs, working alongside educators, students, volunteers, and partners to ensure more Indiana youth have access to transformative STEM experiences.

What if volunteering strengthened your team while strengthening a classroom?

This year, Indesign piloted a new approach to volunteering through TechPoint Youth's STEM Mentors program.

Rather than asking six employees to commit every week, Indesign created two cohorts of three volunteers who alternated visits to Fall Creek Valley Middle School's robotics club. This team-based approach ensured students and their teacher had STEM mentors in the classroom every week, while giving employees an opportunity to build stronger relationships with one another outside of work.

The results were a true win-win.
✨ 30+ students supported
✨123.5 volunteer hours
✨ 62 cumulative classroom visits across eight months
✨ More than $4,300 in volunteer value

This pilot showed how companies can create meaningful, sustainable volunteer experiences that benefit employees, educators, and students alike.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to train an incredible group of Indiana educators through our first ever LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI and LEGO® Education Science Teacher Training!

Teachers participated in hands-on learning experiences designed to build confidence with LEGO® Education resources while exploring ways to bring engaging, inquiry-based STEM learning into their classrooms. By empowering educators with the tools and support they need, we're helping create more opportunities for students to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

The impact of STEM education starts with passionate educators, and we're grateful for each teacher who is investing in the next generation of innovators.

From designing custom movie posters to 3D printing their own business cards and even challenging a robotic arm to a game of tic-tac-toe, our Fort Wayne Xplore students got a hands-on look at STEM careers during their visit to the Jim Kelley Career Pathway Center.

Thank you to gray and the incredible team for showcasing the innovative opportunities available to students and creating such a fun, memorable experience. Experiences like these help students see what's possible for their future in STEM.

Indiana students are about to experience something new in the classroom.

Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, we’re launching award-winning solutions from LEGO Education focusing on AI and computer science in 18 schools (like Indianapolis Public Schools, MSD of Lawrence Township, and South Bend Community School Corporation). This will reach approximately 6,000 students in grades 3–8 through.

There is a deep need for these programs around the state::

🖱️90% of Indiana jobs already require digital skills

💻 Only 7% of Indiana high school students are enrolled in a CS course

To adequately prepare Indiana students for the work force, we cannot wait until high school to close the gap. AI and computer science education has to begin in elementary school, and now we have a program to do just that.

LEGO Education offers two tracks focusing on coding, algorithms, AI literacy, and science through collaborative, inquiry-based learning. No devices required. Just curious students and dedicated teachers with the tools to match.
