A huge thanks to Caviness Beef for hosting the meeting for the Potter/Randall LEPC, which turned out to be a fantastic meeting that fostered great connections and insightful discussions. as well as the delicious lunch that fueled our conversations! Congratulations to our new Chair Jason Castillo of Caviness Beef and new co-chair Chris Strik of Lone Star Dairy Products (not literally, but the food was)

Caviness Beef Packers welcomed the Local Emergency Planning Committee to the Amarillo Ground Beef Plant. Representatives from the Department of Homeland Security, TCEQ, Fire Marshall, Hazmat Director, and several other representatives from local organizations received a tour of our Amarillo Ground Beef facility and lunch. During this meeting, our Safety & Employee Health Director, Jason Castillo was voted as President of the LEPC. Thank you to the members of the LEPC for allowing Caviness to host this meeting.

Our hearts are heavy today...

It is with deepest sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of beloved Fritch Fire Chief Zeb Smith, who died tragically in the line of duty.

Chief Smith was a true hero, a dedicated public servant, and a cherished member of The Fritch Fire Department family. Throughout his years of service, he led with courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the safety of the Fritch community.

We are grateful for Chief Smith's selfless service and the countless lives he saved. His legacy of bravery and dedication will forever inspire us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chief Smith's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
