It means a lot to have this recommendation from Joe and to call him a friend. He has a heart to serve and do right by the people, which has been shown by his involvement and willingness to stand alone and go above and beyond for our students and community.

Our district does a good job with recording the monthly board meetings. If you don’t get a chance to attend the Monday meeting in person I highly recommend catching the replay on YouTube. I’ll post the link in the comments below.

We need board members who support parental rights rather than dividing our community over special interests. Joanne has more than enough experience in working through conflict and I believe she will not only represent people fairly but, help to build back trust.

As a mentor and a wonderful friend, Joyce Schaefer helped me realize that 'Steal Sharpens Steal'! We make each other and situations better when we value different reasonable perspectives. Thank you Joyce for your support.

As a community, we need to support our school staff in prioritizing getting our students reading and math levels back to what they were pre-COVID. The data supporting the decline in test scores post-COVID are terrifying and detrimental to our children's future.

We should all agree on the importance of exposing students to elective courses and vocational classes, we need to first provide a base for these classes to build off of.

I believe the success of students and staff relies heavily on trustworthy leadership. When trust is lost so is the team aspect of success, employees feel undervalued and often you will see a high turnover. Which negatively impacts the student's education and the district's reputation for recruiting new staff.

There was a discrepancy in the candidate questionnaire published in the Amery Free Press.

My last question was published under another candidate. I’ve been reassured this will be corrected in next weeks paper.

According to staff I’ve spoken with, these same accusations were made of me last year and this year we’re also hearing that Joe Vierkandt has to go!

It's time to start asking why. Why has the district moved from a neutral position to spreading false information about candidates?

As adults we have a unique opportunity to demonstrate to our youth the values we feel are important. If it weren’t for the mentors of my youth I wouldn’t be the father and husband I am today.
