DSWD XII extends vital assistance to Mangansakan family in Carmen,Cotabato

Carmen, Cotabato Province โ€“ The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XII has extended significant assistance to the family of Mr. Norudin Sumaid Mangansakan, a resident of Sitio Matingao, Barangay Malapag, Carmen, Cotabato Province. The aid package includes a Family Food Pack, Hygiene Kit, Family Kit, Kitchen Kit, and โ‚ฑ10,000 in cash assistance.

Recently, a photo of Ustadz Norodin and his children, showing their modest living conditions, went viral on social media, capturing the attention of the BARMM government and touching the hearts of many. The photo was initially posted by the OFW Brigada News Middle East page.

Ustadz Norodin, a former combatant and Battalion Commander of the BIAFF, shared memories of his service, including the sacrifices made during the war. Despite the hardships, he continues to serve his community as an Arabic teacher and Islamic preacher, albeit with insufficient financial support.

In response to the overwhelming public support, DSWD XII together with the Provincial Government of Cotabato promptly provided the Mangansakan family with essential supplies and financial aid to alleviate their immediate needs. This act of kindness underscores the agency's commitment to helping vulnerable families, regardless of their background or religion.
