Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our wonderful NAFA community we look forward to serving you in 2021. It is with great sadness and careful consideration that we here at CNRJ Fire and Emergency services have decided to cancel our annual Santa parade this year. We feel that due to the Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing requirements it is in the best interest of the NAFA community to give Santa a break this year. The big guy will return in 2021. The CNRJ Fire and Emergency services would like to wish all the wonderful members of our NAFA community a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

NAF Atsugi Fire & Emergency Services pride ourselves on customer service and want all the residents and members of our community to feel safe at work and at home. We recently received an ICE complaint questioning fire safety in regards to egress (exit) requirements from the towers. Hopefully posting the answer to our complaint may help to answer questions other residents may have as well. Please feel free to contact us via email @ M-AT-Fire Prevention_NAF or by phone 264-3096 with any questions you may have.

Respectfully

HAPPY THANKSGIVING from CNRJ Fire and Emergency Services to your family

For most, the kitchen is the heart of the home, especially during the holidays. From testing family recipes to decorating cakes and cookies, everyone enjoys being part of the preparations.

So keeping fire safety top of mind in the kitchen during this joyous but hectic time is important, especially when there’s a lot of activity and people at home. As you start preparing your holiday schedule and organizing that large family feast, remember, by following a few simple safety tips you can enjoy time with your loved ones and keep yourself and your family safer from fire.

At 0845 this morning, NAF Atsugi Fire & Emergency Services along with our response partners from the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force, Ayase City Fire Dept and Yamato Fire Department commemorated the sacrifice that was made on September 11, 2001. It has been 19 years since that fateful day and its semblance and meaning is not nor will it ever be forgotten.

NAF Atsugi Fire & Emergency Services would like to congratulate CNRJ's four newest firefighter recruits on receiving their Hazardous Materials Awareness and Hazardous Materials Operations level certifications. These four young men have a few months of tough training and additional certifications on the horizon before they graduate to full service firefighters, but they are well on their way to accepting the responsibility of living our motto: " Protecting Those Who Defend America". And, of course, protecting our Japanese friends and neighbors as well. The future of our organization is in good hands. Congratulations gentlemen!

💥 4 Stages of Team Development: Develop and lead high performance teams.

Presented by Best-selling author and deputy chief (ret.) Frank Viscuso

Friday, May 15th @ 2:00 EST

Registration is now open (and limited).

Building a championship caliber team is the quickest way for you to reach your goals, but far too many people in leadership positions struggle when it comes to building and leading effective teams. It’s not from a lack of desire or effort. On the contrary, they may put more than sufficient time and sweat equity into their cause. Many people simply have not taken the appropriate steps that are necessary in order to maximize the results that can be achieved by a group of people who come together to work toward a common goal.

Teamwork is essential for the survival of every organization. This 1-hour class will show you how you can help your team reach their peak performance.

Content includes:
* 4 Stages of team development (and which one to avoid)
* Conflict Resolution
* Mastery of Skills
* 3 Questions to ask daily
* Top 2 reasons why many leaders fail
* How to set expectations
* How to develop a team that performs with urgency and specific intent.
* How to handle difficult people
* The lifeblood of your organization summed up in one word
* and much more

4 Stages of Team Development:
Develop and lead high performance teams

This Friday, May 15th @ 2:00 EST

This class is for leaders in the emergency services, as well as business, health care, private industry, finance, sales, coaches, and anyone who serves in a leadership position within their organization.

Hello NAF Atsugi with the Shelter In Place order inplace and everyone staying home more including the kids now is a great time to update your families emergency evacuation plan. Discuss with your entire family, let the kids help with establishing meeting places, evacuation routes, and the emergency numbers to dial. The link attached will help with this project.

* COVID-19 Local Update — Corona Virus test on student NEGATIVE *

Shirley Lanham Parents and Atsugi Community,

We appreciate your patience over the last few days during these cautious times. We wanted to inform you that the student’s test for COVID-19 has come back negative. All students in the kindergarten classes have been cleared to return to school as long as long as these students are not demonstrating any signs of illness.

Since we are still in the midst of cold and flu season, and an ongoing global pandemic, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that if your child is having any influenza like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, muscle aches), you should keep them home from school, Childhood Development Center, and other public places until his / her symptoms have resolved. We also encourage you to stay home from work and public places should you start to feel ill.

To combat the spread of COVID-19 and all other infectious diseases, we need the entire community to be the front line of defense to keep us healthy and our military mission ready.

Wash yours hands frequently, avoid touching your nose/mouth/eyes, use commercial cleaners to clean hard surfaces at your home and work, and rely on quality sources of information to stay up to date about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to remain vigilant and cautious, but please be mindful that different areas of the world are in different stages of this pandemic, and circumstances are changing daily.

Branch Health Clinic Atsugi has 24 / 7 provider phone consultation available - 0467-63-3311 or 264 - 3311 - should you have any questions for you or your family. Please use this prior to coming to get care at the clinic for any infectious symptoms.

Again, thanks for your patience, cooperation, understanding and continued commitment to responsible hygiene.

15/03/2020

When you call 911 for something other than COVID-19 symptoms (vehicle collision, fall, etc.), it’s still CRITICAL to tell the dispatcher if you have a cough, fever or difficulty breathing so we can respond with appropriate equipment.
