Is this acceptable in our fast-paced world, or are we pushing the limits too far and eroding the ability to interact? What happens if all parties send in an AI note taker?

Are we enhancing productivity or sacrificing essential human connection?

Introduction to the Governance Team

We are pleased to introduce the individuals who sit on the ‘Infra 360’ and ‘My Care Bubble’ Governance Board. This voluntary group of sector professionals have come together to ensure that this innovate work platform continues to meet the challenges being faced in Health and Social Care.

Robin Sutton from DCHC: Robin is the Chair of Devon Care Homes Collaborative, a Non Executive Director of the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and is heavily involved as a provider of care services covering the spectrum from day care, supported living and residential care.

Robin has been involved with various providers in Devon since the formation of the Devon Care Kite Mark and a keen supporter of collaborative work across the care sector.

John Powell from Disca: Bringing his extensive experience in domiciliary care and strategic oversight, John is instrumental in bringing this team together and ensuring that Social Care is represented as Infra 360 and My Care Bubble is developed.

Ruth Wells from Headway Devon: With her deep understanding of the charity and unregulated sector, a fierce commitment to values led leadership and collaboration. Ruth wants to work together to ensure that we tackle the issues facing health and social care for the good of everyone needing social care and their family’s.

Richard White from South West Care Homes: Richard has worked at a senior level in both the private and statutory care sector and both as a provider and commissioner, for more than 20 years. He has developed and led large multi-disciplinary teams for regional and national care companies and ran in house residential care homes for Devon County Council before being promoted to the Sector Lead for Adult Residential Services in the Commissioning Team. Richard is the Managing Director of the South West Care Home Group.

Andy Hood from Westbank’s Devon Carers Service: Andy brings his experience in the VCSE sector supporting unpaid carers and of extensive management and leadership to the team. Andy is keen to see Infra 360 and My Care Bubble bring real innovation and change to the Health and Social Care sector.

Our new hybrid software is now being populated by managers and hands on owners in Devon, commissioners and other stakeholders.

If you're a care provider in Devon, pop over to Infra360.org.uk and register. Our peer to peer forums, displaying your company details, service on our public facing directory, shared resource and instant messaging to your peers are all free.

Through this venture we hope that local care managers, hands on owners feel supported and have help at their finger tips so ultimately they don't carry so much stress and those we look after have a higher quality care delivered.

This is all accessible by downloading our My Care Bubble App which brings your support directly to your mobile.

To remove any conflict of interest and to promote a collective approach, we have also opted for this system to be overseen by a stewardship team made up of individuals from different parts of the sector and any net profits made through different funding sources will be placed into an innovation fund for Devons Social Care Providers.

This gives us a real opportunity to move forward, have crisis response capabilities and innovate whilst supporting our managers.

Why have we started to upload over 100 policy and procedure templates into our shared resource environment today? Being a care company manager or owner can be a lonely place, legislation is tough to follow and on occasions we find ourselves in a situation where we need a policy etc.

Now we're certainly not suggesting any of our peers should simply take any said document and uses it without checking its fit for purpose, meets the legislation they need to meet or amending it to suit, but to have a library of quality templates will certainly help.

Peer support, digital infrastructure can only push the sector forward, improve quality and outcomes.

What makes Infra 360 and My Care Bubble an important tool in Social Care.

Social Care is a fractured industry full of so many incredible people that mostly work in their own bubble, doing incredible things but often going in circles.

We have the responsibility placed on us by those who use our services to ensure that services are robust, professional and in a timely fashion.

However, this sadly isn't always the case! I personally don't think anyone comes into this industry to do a poor job but what we have had until now is fractured, things are easily missed or to complex to navigate.

Infra 360 our Social Care digital infrastructure brings each element of the care sector into one place and already has key stakeholders using it to streamline the way we deliver key messaging, training and best practice.

Along with the home collaborative Devon Carers we also have Skills for Care Devon Alliance For International Recruitment and Migrant Social Integration bringing their expertise into the infrastructure.

What a week as we build up to the launch of our digital Infrastructure in Devon.

I'm not sure I've ever had such an overwhelming positive feedback about anything before, just reassuring our team that we've designed this in the right way.

"This is a no brainer to collaborate on this"

"we now have a real chance for the first time to fix something"

"imagine if this was rolled out nationally"

"this is a game changer"

"so we can now bring social care online in a crisis in minutes? absolutely in any size geographical area"

It's been a rollercoaster of demos all week, all starting with one that then pulled us into back to back all day every day.

The great news is, this new innovative approach is being rolled out with the ethos of Care before Cash.

Yes things cost money to run and salaries are required however, we're setting up a senior stewardship team to oversee the digital infrastructure and any profits after running cost will be ringfenced for a social care innovation fund. The stewardship team will have a self sustainable fund to push the sector forward and support our colleagues, providers in their quest in innovate change.

I'm really proud our of the way the sector is pulling together to work in this new way and watch this space to see the partners announcing Infra 360 on Monday.

I've been asked "How hard would it be to launch this in other areas"

Reality is, we could set up any geographical environment within Infra 360 within 30 minutes should any Local Authorities or Care Alliances wish to collaborate.
