DAVAO CITY — Several major schools in Davao City have announced the suspension of in-person classes and a shift to online or asynchronous learning on Friday, March 27, in anticipation of a nationwide transport strike.
Among the institutions that released advisories are University of Southeastern Philippines, San Pedro College, Holy Cross of Davao College, Stockbridge International School, Joji Ilagan International Schools, Interface Multimedia Solutions, Asian International School of Aeronautics and Technology, Davao Christian High School, Jose Maria College, Davao Medical School Foundation Inc., Lyceum of the Philippines University, Philippine Academy of Sakya, St. John Paul II College of Davao, Davao Merchant Marine Academy, Davao Chong Hua High School, and Philippine College of Technology.
School administrations advised students to monitor official pages for specific instructions regarding class modalities, schedules, and requirements.
The shift aims to ensure the safety and convenience of students, faculty, and staff who may be affected by limited transportation options during the strike.
