Memorial Day is a day of names—names we remember, names we carry, and names that never made it home. They were teammates, friends, mentors… patients. Some we knew well. Others we only met in those final moments when everything else fades except doing what we could.

We honor them not just with flags or silence, but with action—by getting better at what we do. Every protocol we improve, every second we save, every life we help protect in combat medicine—that’s how we carry their legacy.

Today we remember them. And tomorrow, we get back to work—because the mission continues, and they deserve nothing less.
