BCFD and AFR are working a massive fire at a recycling plant near Hawking Dr SE. Due to potential hazardous fumes, The City of Albuquerque Enviornmental Department is asking people in the area to stay inside, shut doors and windows and use air conditioning on recirculation or recycle mode. If you have a swamp cooler, and can safely do so, it is recommended by BCFD and AFR to turn off your air conditioning. Please avoid Bobby Foster and South University!

We had a great time with Scout troops 1010 and 417 during a tour of our facility! They got to sit in the dispatch seat and practice medical and fire call processing, call taking and dispatch as well as learning our department’s 10-code! They even got to monitor live dispatches and 911 calls!!

This is more than just a job- it’s a career and a life path to helping others and the community! We saw future dispatchers in the making in these troops and enjoyed having them for the afternoon.

Please share: The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office requests the public's assistance in locating missing 32-year-old Phylicia Baca and 1-year-old Geovanni Contreras. Phylicia is believed to use illicit substances around Geovanni. Both mother and son were recently seen in the area of 2nd /Rio Bravo Blvd. Due to the information relayed to law enforcement, investigators are concerned for their safety.

UPDATE: Oreyana Clinton was safely located on a bus in Albuquerque. Thank you for your assistance.

AMBER ALERT
The Albuquerque Police Department, Missing Person Unit, is requesting your assistance in locating 5 year old Oreyana Clinton.
Oreyana was reported missing after her intoxicated father showed up to a shelter without her.
Oreyana was last wearing a blue long sleeve shirt and black jeans.
Oreyana's father is not able to tell us what happen or where he last saw Oreyana.
The last location anybody saw them together was at 51st and Central trying to board a city bus.
Due to the father's state of intoxication he was denied access to the bus.

Each one of them worked through several stations seeing first hand how Bernalillo County Emergency Communications Department processes calls from the citizens of Bernalillo County NM and sends them out to the Bernalillo County Fire Department and Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office.

Reminder: as you head to drop your student off at school, the speed limit in school zones is 15 mph once you reach the first-speed zone sign. You have to maintain that speed until you see the last school zone sign. You must also stop at crosswalks when someone is trying to get through. Please use caution in school zones and help us get our students in and out of the school safely!
