ICC Engineering students constructed field components for the 2022 Rapid React FRC game. Components were part of the field built in partnership with ARC (Arrowhead Robotics Coalition) and used for Itasca’s February week 0 scrimmage. The students made design modifications to account for travel and efficient set-up/take-down. Components remained part of the field which the ARC delivered to different locations throughout the season, providing a valuable resource for area teams preparing for competitions. Thank you to all of the ICC students who helped with the construction, the scrimmage event, the tear-down, and the load-up of the field.

Some of the Society of Women Engineers club members gave a workshop in Ely, MN last Saturday. Girls in grades 5-7 learned to create circuits using conductive and insulating dough. We had many light up animals and lots of motors running! It was a long drive, but what a great hands-on experience!
