LINGGO NG KABATAAN 2025: SAYAW NG HENERASYON 🎶💃

The stage is set for a night of culture, creativity, and youthful energy! As part of Linggo ng Kabataan, the LGU of Bantay, through the LYDO, PPSK, MSWDO, and RHU, proudly presents Sayaw ng Henerasyon, a cultural and creative competition that fuses Philippine folk dances with modern dance forms.

Anchored on the theme “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond”, this event celebrates the balance of tradition and innovation, showing how the youth can preserve heritage while embracing progress for a sustainable future.

Event Guidelines (Highlights):
✔️ Each entry must have 12 dancers + 4 props men, ages 15–30.
✔️ Performance must be 5–7 minutes long, blending folk & modern dance.
✔️ Performance order will be determined by draw lots on competition day.
✔️ Limited slots available – first come, first served registration.
✔️ Participants may come from teams of barangays or schools.

As part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan, the LGU of Bantay, through the LYDO, PPSK, MSWDO, and RHU, proudly presents the Academic Quiz Bee!

This competition will test the youth’s knowledge in Current Events, and General Academics, showcasing their intellectual prowess and sportsmanship.

Anchored on the theme “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond”, the activity underscores the importance of education, critical thinking, and youth empowerment in building a brighter future for our community.

Pre-registration Details:

1. Registration forms must be completed by the School Principal/Adviser (Bantay Schools Category) or Barangay Official/SK Chairperson (Open Category).

LINGGO NG KABATAAN 2025: TREE GROWING & CLEAN-UP DRIVE 🌍🌿

📍 Venue: Barangay Lingsat, Bantay, Ilocos Sur

In line with the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan, the LGU of Bantay, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), PPSK, MSWDO, RHU, MENRO, ISEE Bantay, and the Barangay Council of Lingsat, will hold a Tree Growing and Clean-Up Drive.

This initiative is anchored on RA 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991) and Ordinance No. 433/19, highlighting the youth’s vital role in building a sustainable and climate-resilient community.

In celebration of International Youth Day, the Municipality of Bantay invites our Katipunan ng Kabataan to join a day of fun, color, and fitness through the COLOR FUN RUN 2025!

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be 15–30 years old on the date of the event
• Must be a resident of Bantay
• Must be physically fit to participate
• Must agree to the Waiver & Release of Liability

Perks for Registered Participants:
• FREE Official Event Shirt (to be worn during the run)

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭 🌟

On September 29, 2024, the Local Government Unit of Bantay, in collaboration with the Local Youth Development Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and PPSK Bantay, organized an Amazing Race to showcase the vast plethora of skills of the youth of Bantay. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Each station of the amazing race was designed to challenge the participating youth in purposeful ways. Ultimately, the race aimed to dismantle false preconceived notions about young people, and they succeeded! 🎉

The participants exhibited a deep appreciation for local culture while adeptly navigating the digital age, proving that they can honor their heritage while embracing modernity. 🌍💻 Despite facing challenges, including unpredictable weather, the youth showed remarkable perseverance. They danced in the rain ☔️💃, laughed in the face of adversity, and displayed a spirit of camaraderie that highlighted their ability to uplift one another. 🤝✨

Indeed, contrary to popular belief, the youth have grit, and they are more than ready to make a difference in Bantay! 💪🌈
