January's MWL Sip & Share event is set for 6 p.m. tomorrow, January 20, on Zoom, and this month, we'll be doing a deep dive on the first year of the Trump Administration - offering reflections and looking at next steps from a chaotic, destructive year.

It's hard to believe that one year ago, all these things happened in rapid succession:

- The elimination of equity-based hiring in the federal government, which help remove race and gender bias from hiring;
- The removal of gender identity and expression from the federal government;
- The establishment DOGE (remember that?!), the federal grant hack-and-whack department which destabilized critical services serving women and families;
- The termination of DEI programming in the US government - the primary driver of the federal workforce’s race and gender equity; and
- The pause of all foreign aid funding and withdrew from the World Health Organization, actions which, together, have led to the deaths of millions of women across the globe.

Let's talk about it! If you haven't yet registered for any of our educational programming this year, you can do so by clicking the link in the comments. We hope to see you there!

For this month's Lunch & Learn (part of our session-long series of educational webinars), we'll be featuring speakers from Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and Maine Family Planning for a panel discussion about Maine's reproductive healthcare landscape.

January marks the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, so join us to look at the current state of things and where we go from here. Click the link in our comments to register!
