LDS Libertarians Latter-day Saints and the ideology of Libertarians : Charity and good works can be achieved through

Founded in 1971, the Libertarian party promotes individual and economic liberty. Acceptance of individual cultures, religions, and economic freedom are not only LDS teachings but are part of the libertarian manifesto. We declare that D&C 134 does not fully conform with the Democrat or Republican sentiments of government, however Libertarianism can reasonably be defined by the statements found in t

hat holy text. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at times have struggled to identify themselves as belonging to one political party or another. Many members claim to be Republican despite ideological differences concerning individual rights. Some members declare liberalism despite church teachings of economic accountability. Most don't know that there are more than 2 political parties in the United States. It is important to note that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does not endorse any political party or candidate but leaves the decision up to each member to research and find out for themselves.
