The Rotary Club of Monash has merged with the Rotary Club of Glen Waverley to form the Rotary Club of Monash Glen Waverley.

Chartered in May 1995, the Club has supported the needs of the City of Monash and beyond for 29 years. We are thankful to have had a number of our original Club Members including Charter President still members prior to the merger.

We aim to celebrate the achievements of the Club in due course but in the meantime take this opportunity to thank our current and past members and the partners, friends and family of our members over the years along with our community partners, fellow Rotary Clubs and Alumni for enriching the experience and opportunity of the Club and its members to serve our local and extended communities, making a positive difference in the lives of others. The majority of our 2023-24 membership will continue to assist the Community as Rotarians.

We also thank the Club leaders over the years for guiding the Club and inspiring our members including our final Club President, Sandra Pyke. We also acknowledge those members who as member of Monash also served in District roles including former member and past District Governor, Merv Ericson.

We are happy to report that many of our signature forms of service including events will continue via the merged Rotary Club. Accordingly we recommend you follow the Rotary Club of Monash Glen Waverley social media accounts to be kept up to date.

We look forward to strengthened opportunities to assist our community and new friendships with the members of the former Rotary Club of Glen Waverley.

This week the members of the Rotary Clubs of Monash and Mount Waverley Rotary came together to present a cheque to the beneficiaries of their 7th International Women's Day Business Breakfast.

Each year the profits of these Breakfasts goes to a Charity supporting women and children fleeing domestic violence. This year the beneficiary was You Matter which sets up havens for women and children escaping family violence. We were delighted to present a cheque for $7,000 to You Matter, incorporating profits from the Breakfast, attendee donations and top up with additional donations by both Clubs. We also presented the Founder and former CEO of You Matter, Maxine Gross, with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition for her vision, commitment and service to the community in establishing and leading You Matter.

Thank you again to the generosity of our attendees, continuing sponsors (SCM Finance Solutions, Community Bank Pinewood, Mulgrave Country Club, and House Wine & More), amazing volunteer guest speakers and MC along with the IWD Business Breakfast Committee for making this possible. We have raised over $15,000 so far from these Breakfasts.
