Work is underway to move the coal piles out of downtown Green Bay. Earlier this week, I toured the area around the old Pulliam Power Plant, which is being transformed into a modern shipping port. Thanks to Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association for organizing the trip with other area legislators. We got a first-hand look at the dredging and dock wall construction. I tip my hard hat to all the crews that are working on this project! 🦺🏗️⚓️

If we want to make Wisconsin a safer place to raise a family, we need to get serious about drunk driving. Earlier intervention, IIDs (ignition interlock devices), and fine-tuned penalties are part of the solution. Thank you State Representative Deb Andraca for sharing this study!

Happy birthday, America! This is a big one 🤩
As I reflect on 250 years, I realize some things haven't changed. We must continue to fight for democracy, our freedoms, and a government that works for everyone. This is a country that belongs to ordinary people, not kings.

Hello everyone! My name is Ella and I'm taking over Rep Spaude's account for today! I work in Madison as his legislative assistant. If you call or email the office, you will usually reach me (or one of our wonderful interns). I help constituents navigate state government, manage Rep. Spaude’s busy calendar, and attend meetings with stakeholders. This week I also participated in some great events at the Capitol. This included the Juneteenth celebration and the Juneteenth flag raising (I’m the one in the green jacket). I also attended a press conference on gun violence prevention that was led by Sen. LaTonya Johnson and Rep. Shelia Stubbs. If you contact our office in the future I look forward to assisting you in any way I can!

I drive down Shawano Ave just about every single day. It's feeling A LOT smoother now. Thanks to the Mayor and City of Green Bay for completing the mill-and-pave work. A full WisDOT reconstruction is still several years out, but this was a major step in the right direction. I appreciate the municipal crews who got the job done!

Today was a beautiful day to honor the American heroes who gave everything for our country. I attended the Memorial Day ceremony at Admiral Flatley Park this afternoon. Thanks to the United Patriotic Society of Green Bay and Russell Leicht #3 for organizing the event, and to all of the terrific speakers. As we celebrate our country's 250th anniversary, let's not forget the sacrifice of those who came before us 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
