SNAPSHOTS | 4TH QUARTER RDC MEETING

The Regional Development Council–CAR convened today, December 2, at the Venus Parkview Hotel in Baguio City for its 4th Quarter Meeting. Representatives from regional agencies, LGUs, and partner institutions attended to review year-end updates and discuss development matters affecting the Cordillera.

During the meeting, RDC-CAR Chairperson and Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. shared locally made products from Apayao with the members of RDC-CAR. The gesture served as a simple expression of gratitude for the Council’s support throughout the year and as part of the Christmas season’s opening.

LOOK | Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. officially took his oath as Chairperson of the Regional Development Council – Cordillera (RDC-CAR) earlier today, November 12, during the joint meeting of the Provincial Development Council, Provincial School Board, Provincial Solid Waste Management Board, and Kapehan sa Kapitolyo held at the Aliwa Gymnasium.
The oath was administered by Hon. Judge Aura Clarissa Barangan Tabag-Querubin, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 26.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has reappointed Governor Bulut as RDC-CAR Chairperson for the term 2025–2028.

A big congratulations to Director Apollo Edwin S. Pagano on his official appointment as the new Regional Director of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development - Cordillera Administrative Region (DEPDev-CAR)!

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Secretary and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Arsenio M. Balisacan presided over the first CORDS Meeting for CAR today, October 30, 2025, in Baguio City.

The meeting served as a venue to discuss the region’s development priorities and strengthen coordination among national and local government agencies toward sustaining peace and inclusive growth in the Cordillera.

During the meeting, DEPDev-CAR OIC-Regional Director Apollo Edwin S. Pagano presented an overview of the Cordillera’s Socio-Economic Development, Regional Development Council-CAR Priority Development Agenda, and CAR Priority Programs and Projects for 2025–2028.

RDC Chairperson and Apayao Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. also underscored the importance of enhancing coordination in the implementation of government programs and projects to ensure sustained development in the region, particularly in the marginalized rural areas.

Also present at the meeting were DEPDev Undersecretary Carlos Bernardo O. Abad Santos, DEPDev-CAR OIC-Assistant Regional Director Jose H. Dado Jr., and heads and representatives of Cordillera regional line agencies.
