Over 2,000 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Pototan, Iloilo, received rice allocations during the implementation of the Municipal Rice Assistance and Distribution Program (MRADP), an initiative financed through the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

MRADP is aligned with the “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” (BBM) or Bagong Pilipinas Rice Distribution Program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Implemented in partnership with the Pototan Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, the MRADP also supports local farmers and strengthens community-based agricultural enterprises in accordance with national government policies promoting local food security and sustainable rural development.

WATCH: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the endorsement of the Philippines Public Financial Management (PFM) Reforms Roadmap 2024-2028 Midterm Update and the launch of a new digital platform to make government spending more transparent and accessible to the public during a ceremonial program in Malacañan Palace on June 26, 2026.

Prioritizing high-impact measures to strengthen transparency, accountability and faster delivery of public services, the updated PFM Roadmap streamlines the original 41 reform interventions to 18 priority measures — 14 mission-critical reforms and four (4) quick wins, all targeted for completion by 2028. The remaining 23 long-term interventions will continue to be pursued based on institutional readiness, available resources and support from development partners.

As part of this reform effort, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) launches the Centralized Open Monitoring Platform for Appropriations and Spending Statistics (COMPASS), which will help Filipinos track where public funds go and how they are spent. COMPASS consolidates thousands of budget release records and trillions of pesos in government spending data into a single platform, making budget information more accessible, understandable and actionable for the public.

: According to the press report from the Iloilo provincial government, the summit featured reforms aimed at improving literacy, numeracy, and learning outcomes among students.

This is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the government’s intensified push to improve foundational literacy, through the government’s continued efforts to strengthen support to learners towards literacy and quality education.

Ipinaabot niya ang kanyang pasasalamat kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Pototan para sa pagpapatupad ng makabuluhang programang ito kung saan ang mga vulnerable sector ay lubos na inuuna.

According to DTI, the initiative aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to enhance agricultural logistics connectivity, streamline supply chains, and reduce transport bottlenecks to make local produce more resilient and competitive.
