Join the Startup Party USA to change our elections away from duopolist rule. Startups aren’t just for monetary gains. The Startup Party USA intends to be the first 3+ political party in the United States. A 3+ political party is one with the primary mission of reforming voting rules so that even more parties have an equal and fair chance at winning elections. To accomplish this, we must first elim
inate winner-take-all or “first past the post” voting everywhere in the USA. We will also need to eliminate the problems of gerrymandering in legislative votes. It will be very important to all future presidential elections that we eliminate the outdated use of the electoral college. The electoral college allows an unqualified minority of voters to have unequal influence over the final winners of any election, and should thus be abolished forever. The effect of minority votes over the US electoral college gets even crazier when you consider the effects of low-population states having disproportionate power in the legislature, where final election tie-breakers are determined. Finally, we must find new leaders and candidates to replace the old stodgy duopolists and political dynasties.
