Last year, our team purchased these signs for the county, and the parks department installed them at most river access points. The purpose was to remind everyone that life jackets are required and they save lives, especially with the cold water we currently have.

With the area tornadoes, everyone has been working towards a return to normalcy. Our Dive Rescue team of volunteers jumped into action to provide support.

Last night, we held a team training session to work on Grid Searches and learn how to best utilize the new Mustang suits purchased with our community's donations. (The yellow suits are the Mustang Suites in the images) These suits are very versatile and are used in water, mud, muck, Ice, etc. They do take getting used to, but everyone was successful in the training. Thank you again for all the community support!

With the community support and donations, we were able to purchase 4 Mustang Ice Commander Suits for our first responder team members. These suits are extremely versatile and allow us to enter into extremely cold water and to successfully complete ice rescues. These 4 suites will be placed with team members around the county to reduce response times for the community

Great weekend of Advanced Training with Region 5 in Michigan (This consists of all our neighboring county dive teams). We focused on strong current underwater searching, Line searching for missing persons, and clearing waterways of potential hazards. Although the rain was coming down, we stayed dry underwater..LOL
