“Almost everyone under 65 is voting for me.”
- Thomas Massie
We understand why young Republicans are coming out by the droves to support Thomas Massie. He was the only candidate willing to talk with us, answer our questions, and take his job to put Americans in a better position seriously.
NKYRs had an incredible forum today, where Thomas Massie took difficult questions, stayed around to talk to us, and demonstrated his understanding of critical conservative policy. The fourth district is blessed to have him.
Ed Gallrein was invited not only to this forum, where he would’ve had to answer the same questions, but declined to participate as he has every other forum. He has further, for several months, had an open invitation to an event we would have hosted for him and him alone. The Northern Kentucky Young Republicans are committed to ensuring every serious candidate has a platform to make their case so our members can decide who to vote for and who to volunteer for. Ed Gallrein declined every effort we took to give him an opportunity to gain the support of our members.
Even to the minute the event started, we were clear that Ed Gallrein would be welcome with open arms to participate in this forum where he could lay out his platform. It is deeply troubling that he did not want an audience with the young Republicans. If you refuse to engage with prospective voters, especially young adults looking to get involved in campaigns, you are not a serious candidate.
If you want someone to represent this district, answer your questions, and be transparent with America’s next generation of conservatives, Thomas Massie is your only option.
