Council for Competitiveness and Innovation Our core objective is to develop a holistic and competitive innovation policy that will transform and diversify the economy.

WHO WE ARE
The Council for Competitiveness and Innovation (CCI) was established by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in early 2011 as an Advisory Board to the Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development. It is currently charged with the responsibility to develop and implement a holistic and competitive innovation policy that will transform the economy by lowering its dependence on hydroca

rbons as well as improving its global competitiveness rank over the next ten (10) years. VISION AND MISSION

CCI’S CORE ACTIVITIES
The core activities of the Council for Competitiveness and Innovation include the following:

Development of criteria to evaluate the competitiveness of existing business. Monitoring, measuring and evaluating project and programme performance and outcomes within existing businesses
Co-ordination of Policy prescriptions to optimize the benefits to investments. Implementation of diagnostic studies of the existing environment and proposing changes for improvement
