At approximately 0805 hours, Henry County E911 received a 911 call reporting a structure fire in the 100 block of Huntington Drive in Headland.

The Headland Fire Department responded with Engine 13, Truck 21, Medic 2, and off-duty personnel. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and flames visible from the Alpha side of the residence.

Engine 13’s crew initiated an aggressive interior fire attack and quickly brought the fire under control, preventing further extension. Truck 21’s crew conducted a primary search of the structure, which was completed with no occupants found inside.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Headland Fire Department Investigation Division.

The Headland Fire Department would like to thank Kinsey Fire Department, Henry County EMA, and Headland Police Department for their assistance during the incident.
