Donald Trump has been off the rails for a while but today his support of Kim Jong Un and agressive encounter with Kristen Holmes is taking his lunacy to a whole new level. He has lost whatever he may have had.

Concerning the Attorney General confirmation hearing, why won't the administration memorialize in writing what it has verbally said it would do about the $1.8 bilion 'weaponization fund' and a permanent IRS safe harbor for the President and his family? Why would any law abiding taxpayer need or deserve such immunity?

Small nuclear reactors, which do not use enriched uranium, are finally gaining acceptance in the United States.

The overwhelming demand for power by hyper scaler data centers has broken down the public's historical aversion to nuclear power. This is a breakthrough which promises to overhaul our energy sector while drastically reducing emissions and the consumption of natural resources.

Rightly, Congress, the administration and private industry are all aligned to promote it.

There is nefarious interference at the IRS now which could well be an abridgment of US citizens' rights: a senior Treasury official, Kenneth Kies, has been terminated because he vocally opined that Administration interference in IRS audits violates section 7217 of the tax code, which rightfully prevents the President or his senior officials from involving themselves in IRS audits. Nixon's 'Enemies List' is alive and well.

The President continues to abuse our allies.
Today it is Italian Prime Minister Meloni and in recent months other European leaders, , all while seeking alliances with autocrats like putin and erdogan.

The Wall Street Journal reported today on all this with an article entitled "There is no going back : the inside story of Europe’s rupture with America". Every day Trump and his minions find new ways to destroy our traditional norms of governance and to undermine our leadership in the world.

Relating to the Iran 'war' President Trump hasn't won anything yet. The Straits he closed by attacking Iran will be reopened. Let's see what happens over the next 60 days - odds are that the Obama administration JCPOA will be repeated, unfortunately.

America saw 4 million fewer foreign visitors in 2025 vs 2024 and a staggering $8 billion less in spending by those that did come.

They hear continually from their media about President Trump's Truth Social rants, stories of our dysfunctional government, rampant crime in our cities, ICE raids, murders, and deportments of people who while here illegally, have committed no other crimes and should be treated fairly while their cases are legally adjudicated.

We need to win back the respect of our allies around the world so they will want to visit our great country.

Lord Acton's well-known dictum, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely", applies directly to President Trump.

The Iran attack was not thought out and has become a disaster - American consumers are paying the price, but Trump finally crossed a line with Republican leaders by endorsing Paxton over Cornyn and proposing the $1.8 billion slush fund to pay off lawfully convicted criminals. Finally Republicans may have found their voices.

President Trump's Iran folly has cost the US taxpayer $29 billion so far. if Europe doesn't want to engage Iran, despite being potentially reachable by its weapons some day - although not now - why should we pay for it? This is not our fight.

Unfortunately, China "won" the summit - for the first time they are feted as equals with the US; as President Trump said, 'the G2'. New stature for China, nothing for us; nothing concerning China's agressive activity in the South China Sea, no support for Taiwan and nothing regarding Iran and the Strait of Hormuz. In fact, Trump said that he is 'not looking to have' Taiwan become independent. Incredible.
