The Municipality of Laak, through the leadership of Hon. Mark Anthony S. Libuangan, successfully conducted the GAD Plan and Budget FY 2027 Formulation Workshop with Orientation on JMC 2024-01 on March 17–19, 2026 at Laak Adventure Park.
The three-day activity was actively participated in by the members of the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) of the Municipality of Laak. The workshop featured an orientation on JMC 2024-01 facilitated by Provincial GAD Focal Person Ms. Nuyene Navarez, which strengthened the participants’ understanding of the updated guidelines in preparing the Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget.
The workshop was spearheaded by the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) headed by Engr. Rey G. Angco, MPDC, and facilitated by Ms. Melanie Z. Mañangan, Municipal GAD Focal Person, Ms. Rosalie C. Gutual, Municipal Budget Officer, and Ms. Rosalyn Cerro, GFPS Secretariat. Through collaborative workshops and discussions, GFPS members worked together in formulating the FY 2027 GAD Plan and Budget, ensuring that gender-responsive programs, activities, and projects are effectively integrated into local governance.
On the final day, the workshop outputs were presented and critiqued by the Provincial GFPS Technical Working Group (TWG) Members, providing valuable insights and recommendations to further enhance the municipality’s GAD planning and budgeting process.
This successful activity reflects the Municipality of Laak’s continued commitment to promoting gender-responsive, inclusive, and equitable development for the people of Laak.
