The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) successfully conducted the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) – Safety Officer 1 (SO1) Training for the Barangay Training and Employment Coordinators (BTECs) on July 16, 2026, at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

The training equipped BTECs with essential knowledge and skills on occupational safety and health, enabling them to help promote safe and healthy workplaces in their respective communities. This initiative strengthens the commitment of DOLE to develop competent safety advocates who can support workplace safety and the welfare of workers throughout the province.

Taos-pusong Pakikiramay

Ang aming taos-pusong pakikiramay sa naiwang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay ni Kuya Gregorio Labao, dating miyembro ng BTEC Malamig, na pumanaw ngayong araw.

Nawa'y bigyan kayo ng Panginoon ng lakas, pag-asa, at kapanatagan sa gitna ng inyong pagdadalamhati. Mananatili sa aming alaala ang kanyang kabutihan at mga naging ambag sa aming samahan.

Paalam at maraming salamat, Kuya Greg Labao . Nawa'y pagkalooban kayo ng Diyos ng walang hanggang kapahingahan.

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃: DOLE Assists 122 Parents of Child Laborers through Livelihood Support

Malolos, Bulacan — In observance of the World Day Against Child Labor, the Department of Labor and Employment, through its Bulacan Field Office, awarded Certificates of Eligibility to 122 Parents of Child Laborers (PCLs) for sari-sari store with bigasan livelihood packages at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center on June 15, 2026.

The activity formed part of Project Angel Tree, a key initiative under DOLE’s Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program, which provides child laborers and their families with access to social services through the support of sponsors or “angels.”

Anchored on this initiative, the activity supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision of a child labor-free Philippines by 2028 by strengthening programs that protect children, empower families, and address the root causes of child labor.

In line with this national direction, Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino emphasized the need for stronger collective action and active participation from all sectors to end child labor in the country.
