On Monday I concluded the Mandela Month by visiting elderly people of Ward 07 in Mayflower to celebrate the life well lived by Dr Nelson Mandela and his selfless leadership. The program was coordinated by ANC Coordinator in Chief Albert Luthuli Cde Sabelo Sikhakhane and Cde Khethiwe Moeketsi the deployee of Mpuluzi Parliamentary Constituency Office.

Today (28/07/2026) i met the delegation from SANCO and the Developers of Elukwatini Mall to discuss the progress on the project, the concerted effort by both parties is very much needed in trying to develop possible solutions on the challenges encountered by developers. The development is supported by the municipality as it has a great potential to improve the quality of living conditions for people of Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality.

18/07/2026- As part of celebrating Mandela Month , i joined Ward 02 ANC comrades in Fernie on the program of visiting destitute families donating with basic needs and helping them with domestic duties and further went to Oshoek in Ward 08 to visit Phumlani old age club.

You are all encouraged to spare some time to participate on Community Services as part of commemoration of Mandela Day.

Last week, I convened a Mayoral Outreach Meeting with the community of Syde in Ward 01; the objective of the meeting was to discuss service delivery issues and engage on matters related to GBVF, sexually transmitted diseases, and intervention programs from the Department of Health.

On Saturday (27/06/2026), I honoured the invitation to celebrate Cde Sbongiseni Khumalo's achievement in acquiring a Master's degree. The celebration was also attended by young people across Mpumalanga Province and councillors of the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality. Congratulations once again, Chairperson of ANCYL in Gert Sibande Region.

This past weekend (20-21 June 2026), I participated in voter registration activities, encouraging residents of Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality to visit their voting districts to update their details and for new voters to register.

The second open voter registration weekend is on 1st and 2nd August 2026, as per the IEC calendar.

On Tuesday (16/06/2026), I joined the Sports Against Crime Tournament, organised by GTM Finance and Mayflower SAPS. The tournament was held at Mayflower, Goba Section Ward 04, in the Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality. I would like to thank the organisers and all stakeholders who participated in ensuring the program's success.

A safe community is a productive environment.
