A Limpopo mother [27] was arrested on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, after confessing to poisoning her two sons following a dispute with their father in Madabani Village in the Sinthumule area, Vhembe.

She allegedly poisoned her own children because the baby daddy stopped sending maintenance money. The children aged 6 and 9 reportedly fell ill on Tuesday, 2 June, suffering from vomiting, diarrhoea and weakness.

The first one was rushed to Tshilwavhusiku Health Centre, where he was declared dead on arrival, while his older brother was later found dead at home.

A 21-year-old young woman lost her life on Saturday during a bungee jump on the Skeleton Bridge, in the municipality of Limeira, in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, after being thrown by mistake without the essential safety rope, according to local authorities.

The Police have confirmed the death of the young woman while she was participating in a 'bungee jump' activity organized by a private company, as the rope had not been attached to the participant before she jumped. For these events, six people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the organization of the event.
