🚰Today, DA Joburg welcomed spring by handing over a complete water system to the Waterwax community. Led by mayoral candidate Helen Zille and Ward 10 PR Councillor Maureen Mnisi the project includes a high-quality borehole, solar panels, security, and a purification system. After years of dry taps and unreliable water under the ANC-led coalition, the DA listened to residents and brought safe running water to Waterwax.

🚔The DA submitted an urgent motion without notice to defer the appointment of the controversial Lesiba Malotana.

The motion was unsuccessful due to the ANC-EFF-PA coalition that voted for the approval the appointment.

Residents are urged to vote wisely on the 4th of November.

A lifestyle audit conducted by the SIU classified former Gauteng Health boss Lesiba Malotana as ‘high risk’ and reported that he should be forensically investigated. Despite this, the City of Johannesburg has appointed him to head its Public Safety Department.

🚔The DA submitted an urgent motion of notice today to defer the appointment of the controversial Lesiba Malotana as the new Head of Department for Public Safety of the City of Joburg, who is currently being investigated by the SIU and was suspended by Premier Panyaza for failing a lifestyle audit. The motion was unsuccessful because the ANC-EFF-PA led coalition out voted the DA and approved the appointment.
