Teeth

Lions have three types of teeth:

Incisors, the smallest teeth at the front of the mouth, are used for gripping and tearing meat.Canines, the four largest teeth (either side of the incisors), can reach up to 7 centimetres in length. They are used to rip skin and tear away meat.Carnassial, the sharpest teeth at the back of the mouth, act like a pair of scissors to cut meat.

Lions can open their jaws to up 28 centimetres wide, giving them one of the animal kingdom’s biggest bites!

Hey Everybody, It's
Today's special choice is Valentino our white lion cub.

Valentino was born on Valentines day and he is approximately 7 months old.His personality is completely sweet and kind and he loves drinking special milk from his bottle. Some would say that Valentino is the perfect little angel because he has been so timid from a young age.

Normally lions don't like playing in water, but Valentino and his best tiger friend Victor love play fighting in the pond.
Often we don't recognize Valentino when he is all covered in mud, but luckily for us lions are Constantly Cleaning Themselves.

Just like house cats, lions spend a huge amount of time every day licking themselves clean. It's not just because they're fastidious, they're working to remove as much of their scent as possible (so prey won't be able to smell when they're downwind

Check in next Monday for more ManeCrushing!!🦁😇

It's awesome People!!!🐅🐯🐅🐯

Hands down My favorite tiger story. Group of fishermen were 10 miles out to sea and they see a tiger swimming along. First horrified but then curious they follow the tiger another 3 miles into the open ocean until he reaches the beach of an island. So the island had a isolated population of deer on it with no where to run. this tiger would swim 13 miles through the ocean and waves to make it to his private island hunting reserve. spend a few days relaxing and hunting then swim back to his jungle. We have just scratched the surface on fully understanding animals intelligence 🐯🧠💯 Post credit goes to Kody Antle for always inspiring our posts with his outrages yet delightful Tik Toks!!!

It's and today our crush is definitely Sheldon, our Male White Lion.

Some interesting Facts about White Lions.

1.African culture used to believe that white lions are a message from God and that they represent purity.

2. White Lions are not albinos, but a genetic rarity unique to one endemic region on the globe: the Timbavati region.

3.The natural habitat of a white lion includes savannas, woodlands, and desert areas. They are indigenous to the Greater Timbavati region in southern Africa and are currently protected at the Central Kruger Park in South Africa. After being hunted to extinction in the wild, white lions were reintroduced in 2004.

4. According to Lions.org there are only 11 known White Lions in the wild. There has been speculation that these statistics are not correct, however it is known that they are very rarely seen in the Wild.
