Agape Community Services: A Legacy of Care and Hope

Since our establishment in 1995, Agape Community Services has been dedicated to nurturing and protecting our children. Our dedicated team, including 3 social workers, 1 administrative officer, and 4 community development assistants, work tirelessly to make a difference in our community.

Our Vision: We strive to foster a mindset where “my child is your child,” encouraging every member of the community to take responsibility for the protection and well-being of all children.

Our Mission: We are committed to promoting child protection through raising awareness, mobilizing resources, and empowering communities to act in the best interest of our children.

Why We’re Here: Our project was initiated in response to the increasing need for safe care and foster parents for children who require protection and nurturing.

These children, often vulnerable and at risk, find solace in the short-term, emergency care offered by Safety Parents. This support becomes a vital lifeline when there's a belief that a child urgently requires care and protection. Safety Parents act as pillars of stability, offering a safe haven while awaiting the Children's Court's investigation and decision on the most suitable placement options.

Our mission is clear: to promote child protection by raising awareness, mobilizing, and empowering communities. The aims and objectives that guide us include training volunteers from disadvantaged communities as emergency/temporary safety parents, empowering these safety parents, establishing community structures for children in danger, and creating a pool of trained foster parents for abused, abandoned, neglected, and HIV/AIDS children.

As we strive toward these goals, we hope for a future where fewer children need emergency placement, yet more families are ready to extend a helping hand when the need arises. Together, we can create a world where every child feels safe, loved, and supported.
