💛 Warm Hearts, Warm Communities! 💛
The Southfield Library Wooligans for 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day, in partnership with the Naruna Estate Residents Association, spread warmth and kindness by reaching out to seniors and vulnerable members of our community.
Together, they donated scarves, blankets, beanies, slippers, hearty soup, and sandwiches, bringing comfort, care, and a little extra warmth to those who need it most.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, talents, and generosity. By working together, we continue to make a meaningful difference - one act of kindness at a time. 🧶🧣🥣❤️

🌊🦈 Shark Spotters visit Southfield Library! 🦈🌊
Southfield Library was thrilled to partner with Shark Spotters, a pioneering shark safety and research organisation that has gained international recognition for its innovative approach to reducing interactions between beachgoers and white sharks, while promoting shark safety, conservation, and environmental awareness.
The interactive programme was both educational and exciting, captivating children and adults alike. Participants about the important work Shark Spotters does to protect both people and sharks along our coastline.
A highlight of the day was the Deep Dive VR experience, where children donned virtual reality goggles and were transported beneath the ocean's surface to explore incredible underwater worlds—all without getting wet! 🐠🌊🥽
Children also enjoyed viewing shark jaws and marine specimens, making for a truly hands-on and memorable learning experience.
A big thank you to the Shark Spotters team for sharing their knowledge, passion, and innovative technology with our community. Together, we are inspiring ocean conservation and fostering a greater appreciation for South Africa's remarkable marine life.
