Compliance, quality and local opportunities remain a priority at Rotara School 🏫

During our oversight visit, the project team highlighted an important challenge affecting the current workforce. Some workers were found to be using documentation that did not meet the required standards, and the necessary action was taken to ensure full compliance with the law.

This has temporarily affected the number of workers on site, but the project team is working to address the situation and explore opportunities to bring more local workers onto the project.

The progress at Rotara School is a testament to what can be achieved when government funding is properly managed and used for the benefit of the community. This is a world class school taking shape. Creating opportunities, supporting local communities and building a better future for Merafong.

A big thank you to Norman and his team for their dedication and commitment to delivering this important project. 👏

Hi everyone!

There are now only 2 weeks left to register for the November local government election.

To give everyone an extra opportunity, I'll have a voter registration table this Saturday (25 July), from 09:00 to 13:00, opposite OK Mini-Mark on Oranje Street, Carletonville.

Next weekend we'll also be busy with voter registration activities all weekend (1 & 2 August, 08h00-17h00), just like we had at the end of June.

Please bring your ID and cellphone if you need to register or update your voting details.

You're also more than welcome to stop by if you'd simply like to chat about service delivery issues or raise any concerns in the community. I'd love to hear from you.

🏗️ Building for the future of our community.

Despite challenges along the way, the Rotara School project continues to move forward with a strong focus on quality, local participation and timely completion.

The goal is clear: to complete the school to a high standard and see it fully operational for learners and the community as soon as possible.

🏗️ Oversight at Rotara School, Extension 9

Today, Councillor Carlos Rebello and MPL Ina Cillier conducted an oversight visit at the Rotara School construction project to assess its progress.

The project is currently **on budget and on schedule**, with major brickwork completed and work continuing on the roofing, finishes, sewerage and stormwater systems.

Effective oversight means making sure that projects are delivered properly and that residents get the infrastructure they deserve. 👏🏽
