♦️Court Case Update ♦️

In the matter brought before the court between Mr Charlie Thukwana and his landlord, Mr Piet Bezuidenhout, seeking relief in the form of a protection order, the case raises serious concerns regarding the protection of tenants, the abuse of power, and the right of every person to live in dignity and safety.

The application before the court is aimed at ensuring that Mr Thukwana is protected from any form of intimidation, harassment, threats, or conduct that undermines his constitutional rights and personal security.

This matter serves as an important reminder that no individual, regardless of property ownership or social standing, is above the law.

The courts remain an essential institution in safeguarding justice and ensuring that disputes are resolved within the framework of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.

We remain committed to supporting all lawful processes and to ensuring that vulnerable members of society are not subjected to unfair treatment or victimisation.

PR Cllr Ncani Mbonani and SRETF member Fighter Sabelo Thumbathi at Phaphamani Secondary School in Ward 5.

Voter Apathy must be treated as a disease towards the democratic dispensation of post Apartheid South Africa.

Those not registered to vote are sellouts and collaborators of Unemployment, poverty and underdevelopment.

♦️ Earlier today♦️

At Mafa Max Motloung Secondary School, Youth Command Convenor fighter Chris Mpenyane continues the important task of conscientizing against voter apathy amongst young people.

The responsibility of defending and deepening our democracy cannot be outsourced.

Young people themselves must take the lead in educating one another about the importance of registering to vote, participating in democratic processes and exercising the rights that generations before us fought and died for.

A politically conscious generation is not built in boardrooms alone, but through direct engagement on the ground — in schools, communities and amongst the youth themselves.
