🚨 ⚖️🇿🇦NIGHT SWIFT OPERATION IN QONCE 40 IMMIGRANTS APPREHENDED 🚨⚠️⚖️🇿🇦

The operation focused on immigration compliance,Human Trafficking and addressing persons found to be in the country without the required documentation or reported missing in their country of birth.

A total of 40 undocumented foreign nationals were taken and transported to the Immigration Centre for further processing and verification.

The Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit remains committed to work with stakeholders to combat human trafficking, and other related criminal activities.

🚨 KOMGA OPERATION CONDUCTED⚠️⚖️🇿🇦⛔️

Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with Department of Home Affairs ( Immigration Services) conducted an operation in Komga targeting immigration and compliance violations.

During the operation:

* Undocumented foreign nationals were arrested for contravening immigration laws.
* Fines were issued to employers found employing undocumented foreign nationals.
* Authorities continue to warn employers to ensure that all employees are legally documented and authorised to work in South Africa.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal employment, human trafficking and other related offences while promoting compliance with South African law.

🚨 EARLY-MORNING OPERATION IN FORT BEAUFORT (KWAMAQOMA) 🇿🇦⚖️⚠️

The Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs – Immigration Services and Raymond Mhlaba Traffic Control, conducted an early-morning operation in Fort Beaufort.

The operation resulted in the arrest of undocumented foreign nationals, while a criminal case was successfully opened against a foreign national who is alleged to have been selling restricted medication.

The suspect faces charges in terms of the Immigration Act as well as relevant pharmaceutical legislation, for allegedly operating outside South Africa’s legal regulatory framework.

Authorities have welcomed the collaborative operation, describing it as another firm step towards curbing the illegal trading of restricted medication, strengthening immigration compliance, and protecting communities.

🚨 STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED IN CALIFORNIA KUGOMPO🇿🇦⚖️🚨

The Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with the East London Vehicle Theft Unit, successfully recovered a stolen motor vehicle at California, KuGompo.

The vehicle was recovered from a Burundi national after it was allegedly reported stolen from its owner in Harare, Cape Town.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat vehicle theft, trafficking and organised criminal activities in the Eastern Cape.

🔴 Further arrests are expected as investigations continue.

🚨 COMPLIANCE OPERATION CONDUCTED IN GONUBIE⚖️🇿🇦

The Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with Gonubie SAPS, Department of Home Affairs – Immigration Services, Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality (BCMM) Law Enforcement, and BCMM Environmental Health Services, conducted a joint compliance operation in Gonubie.

The operation focused on ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations and addressing illegal activities within the area.

During the operation:

* 🚔 Undocumented foreign nationals were arrested for further processing by the relevant authorities.
* 📦 Prohibited products were seized.
* 🥫 Expired food products were confiscated by Environmental Health officials.
* 👮‍♂️ Various establishments were inspected for compliance with applicable legislation.

🚨🚨 🚨 BUTTERWORTH OPERATION CONDUCTED 50 IMMIGRANTS APPREHENDED ⚖️🇿🇦

The Eastern Cape Missing Person and Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs – Immigration Services, conducted an operation in Butterworth aimed at addressing undocumented immigration and related concerns.

During the operation, 50 individuals were apprehended and taken to the Butterworth SAPS for further processing and verification in accordance with the law.

We strongly condemn the employment of undocumented migrants and urge employers to comply with South African immigration and labour laws.

We also urge members of the community to be vigilant against marriages of convenience entered into in exchange for money, as such arrangements may facilitate immigration fraud and exploitation.

Immigration Operation in Keiskammahoek ( Qoboqobo)

The Eastern Cape Missing Person and Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs (Immigration Services), conducted an immigration compliance operation in Keiskammahoek.

A total of 35 individuals were taken to Keiskammahoek SAPS for further processing in relation to possible contraventions of the Immigration Act.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with immigration legislation and address immigration-related offences in the Eastern Cape.

⏳👮🏽‍♀️Successful Law & Medical Career Expo in Ndevane Qonce ⏳🇿🇦🤝

Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit hosted Career Expo in Ndevane, It was a great success, bringing together learners and various key stakeholders to expose young people to different career opportunities and professional fields.

The expo was honoured by representatives from Iyunivesithi Walter Sisulu – Medical and Policing Departments, Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality – Traffic Services and Fire Department, Department of Home Affairs – Immigration Services, Red Alert – Technical Department and Armed Response, and the Department of Employment and Labour.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Department of Education, Circuit 5, particularly the Ndevane area, for allowing and supporting learners to attend this important career development programme.

The successful event provided learners with valuable information, guidance and inspiration as they prepare for their future careers.

🚨⏳⚖️Arrest for Theft of Motor Vehicle, Fraud, Corruption & Immigration Act Offences🚨⚖️⏳

An Ethiopian male national has been arrested for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, fraud, corruption and contravention of the Immigration Act.

The arrest was conducted jointly by the Eastern Cape Missing Person & Trafficking Unit, K9 East London and Crime Intelligence.

The suspect has been detained at KuGompo SAPS and is expected to appear before the East London Magistrate’s Court.

Further investigations are underway.
