The Brotherhood Foundation will launch a new effort aimed at empowering young boys and men, a segment of our society which too often faces disproportionate challenges and obstacles to success. These obstacles are found in our schools, our communities, our criminal justice system, our families, and even in the minds of our young people themselves. The Foundation is committed to build a broad coalit

ion of backers to help break down barriers, clear pathways to opportunity, and reverse troubling trends which show too many of our boys and young men slipping through the cracks in our society

Was I always going to be here? No I was not. I was going to be homeless at one time, a taxi driver, truck driver, or any kind of job that would get me a crust of bread. You never know what's going to happen.

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.

Just a combo of fries and chicken can bring so much joy into their lives.

They are homeless, they have no family, they are all alone in the street, many times we despise them when they ask for food and money, they were born to suffer, it has become normal to see them starve, we see them everyday lying on street pavements but our sub conscious is now so dead that we don't see anything wrong with that.

But remember, they are just like you and me, they also need parental care, they need spiritual care, they need family and they also need happiness.

I believe wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity to be kind and when you do get the opportunity to be kind, please don't waste it.

His name is Nardo.

Nardo wants to become a soccer player when grows up.

He doesn't remember the last time he was home, you can surely tell by the layers of dirt on his skin and the scars under his his feet.

He claims that he was literally chased away from home some few years back by his step mom.."don't worry about me, i have found a new family here, brothers and sisters who love me, they always look after me.." he said

I want these kids to atleast have a chance to dream of becoming something like i did in my life..we need to get the street kid out of these kids and i believe it's our collective responsibility.
You may choose to look away, but you can never say you didn't know about their existence.

They call him "Rush Hour", he is always in a hury, no time wasting, if you want to get the word around quick in the streets - he is the right guy to talk to..Lucy introduced me to him.

He quit drugs and glue long time ago, for 4 good years he has been staying in the streets all by himself. Mother and Father died, since then Auntie took everything and left for Johannesburg with his other siblings, left him alone with nothing.😢 He makes a few cents by pushing trolleys, he hustles all day, sometimes he cuts grass and clean yards just to earn small small for bread.

He has a plan, all he asks for is a decent place to stay, at the moment he stays in a bush and he says its very cold💔 "My brother please find me something better to do, i don't have any school but I'll work very hard..please" ..he pleaded 😢

Episode 8 - Lucy's Future is brightening🙌 "Anonymous" has volunteered to take lucy back to xul..she has commited to pay for her tuition fees up to Matric 🙏 *Investing in people*

When we hear the word investing the first thing that come into our minds is investing in STOCK EXCHANGE, FOREX MARKET or RETIREMENT...but all these investments will eventually fade away

The only investments that are going to last forever are the investments we make in other people.

We are all going to live a LEGACY on earth, but the BEST legacy is not what we LEAVE for people, but what we leave IN people.

Listen, you and I have an opportunity to live a mark that can not be ERASED, please don't waste it.

I discovered that you will never stand taller than when you bent down to help somebody else succeed..if you help others accomplish their dreams, God will Surely help you accomplish yours..🙏

Episode 6 - On Little Lucy

Decided to take her for a spin and satisfy some of her secret desires 😎

Spending time with her has given me a rational perspective about my life philosophies.

And i urge you all, Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.

Lucy is a Slay Queen now 🤗 for 3 years she has been staying in the streets, sleeping under the bridge.

They buried her, little did they know that she was a seed, now she is germinating.

Episode 5 - On Poor Little Lucy ...on my way to the saloon with her she said something so profound and it really got me emotional.

She is one kid who is street smart with a wide open active imagination, she said "Proff, it's funny how our misfortunes have become so normal in the eyes of people, everywhere we go they chase us away, there are food stores we are restricted admission because our dirty and uncleanes, but what people tend to forget is that some of us it's not by choice to be homeless"..i silently broke into tears.. 😳😳😳to be continued...

Episode 4 on Lucy
She happens to be one of the few girls who stay in the street, my greatest fear was imagining her being sexually abused by the fellow street boys, to my surprise they all respect her, protect her and treat her as equalls.

The love these kids have for each other is amazing, they stand together in everything they do, they share equally the little that they get.

For the time Lucy has been lost in the streets she has learnt the art of survival, ofcoase she has special needs as girl but.... To be continued

Episode 3 - On The Poor 13 year old Lucy

She stays with her 2 street brothers, they have found a shelter under a tree, where they have been sleeping for more than 6 Months now😓

Even though her pillow is hard and made of stones, but her heart is very soft ❤, she has pure love for the other homeless kids, the little she gets she always share with others.

Her desire is to be reinstated in school and getting a decent space to dwell so that she can further her academic aspirations..to be continued

Episode 2 - On Poor Little "Lucy"

She is so passionate about her studies, even though she got cut off in her early primary level..but I'll personally mobilise sufficient resources and funds to make sure she goesback to school. *Investing in people*

Her Name is Lucy Smith, 16 years old, dropped out of school 3years ago because mum couldn't afford tuition fees, for 3 years she has been staying in the street😢

She plays a mother role to the other kids in the street, when she is around no-one misbehave but she is very kind, smart, responsible and caring though, she will never eat anything without sharing with the others.

Her wish is to go back to school and finish her studies and support her poor mother. The supposed step dad does not really show her much love and affection.

And she said "Proff, lets go meet my mother....🤗" To Be Continued........

I have committed myself to spending my 2018 making other people feel less broken..KINDNESS it's no longer an Act but it has officially become a LIFESTYLE .

I believe we all have a responsibility to make this world a better place..If you can't feed a hundred people then feed JUST one.. I have learned to GIVE, not because I have TOO much, but because I have known the feeling of NOT having.

I'm hard headed not Hard hearted, i may be stubborn, sassy, arrogant and rude at times but i have a big heart for those who are vulnerable.

The guy on my left here is Timz, he is a loner and a very hard worker. He does not know how he ended up in the streets, the only thing he knows is that that's were he belongs 😢

He tried begging, but not a single day of his life did he ever received a coin for free..he feeds maybe twice or thrice a week..😰😰 "Every time i sleep, i pray not to wake up the next morning" he said.

But i believe there is hope at the end, God has a plan and only us can make that plan surface 🙏
