🚨EFF IN GOVERNMENT🚨

EFF Tshwane remains committed to restoring the dignity of workers and building safer communities through insourcing.

An allocation of R36 million has been directed towards the additional insourcing of 100 Security Guards, ensuring decent work, job security, and improved working conditions for workers who continue to protect our public facilities and communities.

Breakdown of the allocation:

• R33.5 million for Employee Costs
• R750 000 for Uniforms
• R250 000 for Consumables
• R1.5 million for CAPEX, including radios and security equipment

This intervention is about more than employment, it is about affirming the value, dignity, and contribution of workers while strengthening public safety across Tshwane.

*Take note:* Tomorrow (22 April 2026) at 13h00 we are all expected to be at Ward 10 Gembokspruit to Welcome the President & The Commander in Chief Julius Malema he will be at the homestead of Mr David Skosana whom we all know him as *"Mazolman"* member of Parliament & MKP, who has lost his mother.

The president will be visiting the Skosana's family together with the Provincial Chairperson & Provincial Secretary respectively *Cmrs Collen Sedibe & Cmrs Jackson Malatjie.*

🚧 Community Update:

R573 Road Upgrade – Edwin Construction Site
Yesterday, the PR Councillor, together with the EFF Ward 26 Branch Secretary, his Deputy, the Ward 26 Labour Desk, Ward 26 BCT, and our EFF team, visited the Edwin Construction site on the R573 road upgrade to support local workers from our ward.
Out of the 5 workers who were employed from our ward, only 1 was actively working on site while the other 4 were sitting at home. We immediately engaged with the Community Liaison Officer (CLO) and held constructive discussions.
We are pleased to report that we reached a good understanding. As a direct result, one additional worker was appointed yesterday. The worker has already started the process of medical testing, which will be conducted by the sub-contractor.
This visit demonstrates our continued commitment to ensuring that our community benefits fairly from this major infrastructure project. Local jobs must go to local people!
Together we are pushing for transparency, accountability, and real service delivery in Ward 26.
