Incident : Motor vehicle accident

A motor vehicle accident was reported on the R573 Zakheni bridge, involving two light vehicles in a possible head-on collision. Thankfully on scene paramedics reported no injuries. All relevant authorities are presently at the scene managing the situation.

We would like to thank the community members for always alerting us whenever there is an accident in the area and remind everyone that our ambulance services are provided at no cost in the of a motor vehicle accidents.

A major motor vehicle accident occurred in the early hours of the morning, involving two vehicles in a head-on collision, which resulted in two fatalities and five serious injuries. All were treated at the scene and transported to hospitals. Caution is urged for motorists approaching the active scene.

At approximately 19:30, we received a report of a motor vehicle accident on R573 road, Kwamhlanga Phola Mall. According to reports, multiple occupants suffered moderate injuries and were transported by paramedics to the nearest hospital.

The scene remains active and motorists are cautioned to approach slowly and travel at a moderate speed.

51-year-old patient with numerous comorbidities presented with:

▪︎ chest pain
▪︎ irregular pulse
▪︎ shallow breathing
▪︎ cyanosis
▪︎ desaturating
▪︎ poor perfusion
▪︎ nausea and vomiting
▪︎ hyperglycemia

Required on-scene Advanced Life Support Paramedic intervention before she was transported to hospital for further management. Patient’s condition improved significantly en route to the hospital.
