Over the coming days, our teams will be out across Kannaland meeting residents, listening to the issues affecting communities and following up on matters already raised with us.
Water, municipal services, roads, jobs and the state of local government continue to feature prominently in our conversations with residents.
There is no substitute for being on the ground, listening directly and doing the follow-up work.

Vandag het ons ’n nuwe hoofstuk vir die DA in Kannaland begin.
Vanuit Ladismith is ons boodskap duidelik: Kannaland kan werk.
Met Joslyn Johnson as ons burgemeesterskandidaat en ’n span toegewyde wykskandidate wat diep in hul gemeenskappe gewortel is, bied ons aan die mense van Kannaland ’n geloofwaardige alternatief — gefokus op betroubare basiese dienste, verantwoordelike finansiële bestuur en ’n munisipaliteit wat inwoners eerste stel.
Dit gaan oor meer as net ’n verkiesing. Dit gaan daaroor om hoop te herstel, vertroue te herbou en te bewys dat plaaslike regering vir die mense kan werk.

Vandag kom ons by die Skougronde in Ladismith bymekaar om ons veldtog vir ’n nuwe hoofstuk in Kannaland bekend te stel.

Kannaland verdien ’n regering wat werk. ’n Regering wat openbare geld beskerm, betroubare basiese dienste lewer en inwoners eerste stel.

Ná jare van finansiële onstabiliteit, swak bestuur en verswakkende dienslewering is die keuse voor ons gemeenskappe duidelik: nóg van dieselfde, of ’n regering wat Kannaland weer op koers kan kry.

Vandag stel ons ons burgemeesterskandidaat en ons aanbod aan die mense van Ladismith, Calitzdorp, Zoar en Vanwyksdorp bekend.

Ons missie is duidelik: red Kannaland, herbou ons munisipaliteit en herstel vertroue in plaaslike regering.

Die werk begin nou.
