The Tugela Epic is back, and this year, your ride helps protect the wild heart of KwaZulu-Natal!

​We are proud to announce that the Weenen Nature Reserve Honorary Officers and Spioenkop Nature Reserve Honorary Officers of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife have partnered with Zingela and Emaweni for this incredible event.

This isn't just a "social MTB experience", it’s a mission.

​Every entry helps fund targeted conservation projects within the Weenen and Spioenkop Nature Reserves.

Looking for a memorable family day out to celebrate Easter?🐣
Join us for an epic Easter Egg hunt @ 8H30 on the 5th April 2026. Explore some of Zingela's beautiful trails with your loved ones. The kids can follow the Easter Bunny tracks to find some sweet treats. The parents will get spoilt too!

Easter Egg hunt - kids: R240
Easter Egg hike parent rate: R30

Come and enjoy a delicious lunch on the bank of the Tugela River.

Lunch & dessert - kids (3 - 12yrs old): R75
Lunch & dessert - adults: R155

You can make an adventure filled weekend of it with rock climbing and scorpion hunts for the kids on Friday and rafting on Saturday. There is limited accommodation still available at Hitchens, Dawsons, Shayamoya and Badlands A & B from 3rd - 6th April 2026. Catered option only.

Day visitors are welcome. A once off Community conservation fee applies to all visitors. This fee is allocated to conserving river health, maintaining hiking trails, and increasing the conservation footprint in the Tugela Valley.
