WATER FIRST , SDP NATIONAL CONVENER MANDLA MSIBI VOWS TO BUILD DAM AND END MBOMBELA WATER CRISIS!

The Service Delivery Party National Convener Mandla Msibi has vowed that water will be the SDP’s first priority when it takes over government in Mbombela.

According to Msibi, water remains a major challenge in many areas under the City of Mbombela Local Municipality.

Msibi was speaking during a house handover in Ward 24 Luphisa, Pienaar where the SDP built a new house for the Mkhatshwa family whose old house was in a terrible condition, cracked walls, badly damaged roof, with rain pouring directly inside Msibi said,

“Your issue from here at Luphisa is not different from all the issues of all the residents here in Mbombela. Our main issue is water, Clau-Clau, Pienaar, Matsulu, KaNyamazane, and Hazyview. When you vote for SDP, its first priority is to build a dam here in Mbombela so that we can address the issue of water.”

Msibi was accompanied by Ward Councillor Candidates Ward 26 Bheki “Mlilo” Mkhatshwa and Ward 40 Sarel Mahlalela.

The Mkhatshwa family was overjoyed to finally have a new, warm and safe home — built not by government, but by the SDP.

Furthermore, Msibi urged young people to stand together to bring services and improve their communities for the better.

“ I would like to thank these Pioneers for standing up. I see a generation that is standing up, the youth. Young people please stand together, help one another and empower each other,” Msibi added.

Yesterday, the Service Delivery Party’s National Convener, Mandla Msibi, officially introduced the Ward 26 Councillor Candidate in Tekwane North, under the City of Mbombela Local Municipality.

The community of Ward 26 welcomed the announcement with great excitement as Bheki “Mlilo” Mkhatjwa was unveiled as their candidate. Residents rejoiced and expressed confidence that he will bring real change, work together with the community, and deliver better service delivery.

Community members they’re ready to vote for SDP on the coming Local Government Elections, 4 November 2026, as well.
