🌸 Honouring and Empowering Our Women! 🌸

In celebration of the incredible women in our communities, and following National Women’s Day yesterday, the ACDP Lowveld region hosted a Self-Defence Class in Ward 30, White River.

The event was a resounding success, bringing together 45 moms, grandmothers, sisters, and daughters from all walks of life!

The ACDP's Provincial Leader, Councillor Suzette Mouton, welcomed and thanked everyone in attendance—not only for showing up, but for having the tremendous courage to stand up, take charge, and learn to defend themselves.

A heartfelt thank you to Fritz and Xania Erasmus from Saffron Seed, GBV Sisterhood Support, and Healing from Trauma for making this initiative possible and equipping our women with vital skills. We salute and commend every single woman who attended today’s class—your strength and resilience inspire us all.

To every woman who has faced or is currently facing gender-based violence: please know that you are not alone. There is support, and there is hope.
