Our mission is to provide educational programs aimed at addressing common social issues in our socially disorganized communities, such as bullying, school dropout rates, gender-based violence, substance abuse, poverty, injustice and skill development. Xolani Feni and Khwezi Tyatyam were already elite professionals and very active community activists in the City of Cape Town when they hatched the idea of a non-profit organization. The vision was to pool the charitable resources of global philanthropists, living and dead, into a single, significant, and permanent endowment for the betterment of the community of Nyanga. In such a sense, the community would then forever distribute the interests that Nyanga Men Empowerment resources would have accrued to fund such charitable purposes as it will best make for the mental, moral, and physical improvement of the inhabitants of Nyanga. The Nyanga Men Empowerment was born from that revolutionary idea on March 1, 2022. Within weeks, the organization began reshaping how community members care for one another in Nyanga and around the surrounding subareas (Philippi and Gugulethu). The results of our unique educational programs have been ground-breaking, improving an average of 58 percent across men in the community. Over 37 percent of all young men in the community have benefited from employment or skill development. In addition, we work to inspire the hearts and minds of men, women, and children. Our team of experts embodies our philosophy, which is evident in their advanced use of strategic communication skills to achieve satisfactory engagement with their audience when covering pressing discussions of our social issues. Thanks to this ongoing commitment, we have provided for more men's and their families' needs in our communities. In addition to saving money, we introduced the men and staff of Nyanga Men Empowerment to more benefits of empowered educational material use in their lives and the classrooms. The threat of poverty and forever mounting social issues is more urgent than ever, with our aging population and rising rates of crime and social illness. That’s why we’ve set ambitious targets.
